Review:
David Rosenfelt’s Animal Instinct delivers a fast-paced mystery full of humor, heart, and sharp wit. Corey’s sarcastic narration and the dynamic between him and his dog make this an enjoyable, conversational read that balances tension with levity. Rosenfelt’s writing style feels like chatting with a friend—funny, honest, and refreshingly straightforward. Mystery lovers will appreciate the strong character relationships, clever dialogue, and satisfying blend of suspense and humor. Fans of Spencer Quinn’s Chet and Bernie series will especially enjoy this one.
